A year ago today we (the family) were in Healdsburg California for my sister’s wedding. This has to be one of the loveliest towns on earth. It is heavenly – and the food, oh the food.
One evening was spent at a wine and food tasting dinner at Spoonbar. This is a restaurant in the H2 Hotel. Dinner featured wines of Preston of Dry Creek. The menu was set as you can see from the picture, but they happily made gluten free substitutions for my sister and I.
This salad was gluten free without modification.
The ravioli was not gluten free but I took a pic anyway.
Our substitution for the ravioli was a salmon salad that was delicious. My cousin (who had the ravioli) liked this better than her dish.
The duck breast was gluten free.
The blurry short ribs were also gluten free.
And as you can see there was plenty to drink.
Somehow there is no picture of the yogurt berry plate. Maybe by this point the wine had gone to my head?
We had a fantastic time at dinner with my only regret being we don’t live close enough to do this on a regular basis.
I love Healdsburg and the Spoon Bar!! Sorry I missed Scopa but will eat there when I return to Healdsburg some day……great site….I enjoy the info and gluten free updates!
Scopa is a must. Glad you like the updates. I’m certainly learning as I go.
The Spoonbar and Healdsburg bring back memories of fun, food, drinks, music, friends, and family. Doesn’t get any better than that. Love the pictures. They make me so hungry!!!
Preston of Dry Creek put on another dinner this year. If this is to become a yearly thing I may need to make time to go back!
